Vir2 already guilty of the great Elite Orchestral Percussions has released another Kontakt based library: World Impact. I listened to the demos, and it does sound great, but i don’t feel i’m getting anything new in terms of sound, the interesting part is probably what they have done with Kontakt’s scripting to either Humanize, articulate, trigger, etc… the sounds. This only proves, if necessary that Kontakt is the best sampler ever.

Tired of the resource eater Play pluggin, i have decided not to wait for the Hollywood strings (which anyway are going to be too expensive for me) and I chose to go for the LASS strings. I wil soon release two tracks using these strings, they are really beautiful, and they have something that no other has currently: they have divisi sections!

Because they use the great Kontakt sampler, they also have a step sequencer specifically designed for the strings to sound great, and they do. You can press the sustain pedal and there you have your step sequencer … many many features are available through the Kontakt scripting and they are all useful and great sounding.
